Decorative Lamp Shade - Let Fuschia Light The Way!

Decorative lamp shades are a fun way to spice up your decor in a customized way.  I decided to take a plain, off-white lamp shade and give it new life.  I love the results - how fun!

How simple it was to paint and add ribbon.  I used a combination of flowers purchased from a craft store and handmade paper flowers.  Very fun, VERY!

Handmade Flowers With Fabric Centers

This was my first attempt at handmade flowers.  But I thought I'd add something extra a put a knot of ribbon in the centers.  I also made a matching envelope. I think the results are very classy!  I hope you enjoy.

Runway Inspired Challenge #54 - Diane von Furstenberg

My entry to this Runway Inspired Challenge was inspired by the Olympic rings.  I decided to mix classic with contemporary.  Enjoy!

I cut the rings using Spellbinders circle dies and colored them with Copic markers.  I used GKD Vintage Backgrounds houndstooth stamp (I had to break out the stamp-a-ma-jig!) and GKD Vogue Vases 2 for the sentiment.  But overall, it was a pretty simple design.

Spring is bustin' out all over!

This winter has been especially brutal for us Chicagoans, so these cards were inspired by my desperate longing for spring!  There's so much you can do with floral embellishments.  I added stickles to some and some bling to others and voila!

For this purple garden (above), I used a pattern a saw from Maile Belles.  I absolutely love her simple and smart style (even though these cards a pretty busy). :)

Stamps: Papertrey Ink
Floral embellishments:  Recollections
Other: Ranger embossing powder, Inktense watercolor pencils (bottom card)
